4th day done
I have been reading these forums quite a bit and have found them very helpful.
Currently I am very grateful to have a good support network that I can lean on ;gf, mom, dad, even my friends that drink a lot have been supportive. I have never attempted to stop drinking before, so this is all new to me. I am a 28 years old and have been binge drinking on weekends up until about the time I was legal age. Then it seemed to be nightly for a few years.
About 5 years ago I moved to where I am now and had a gf I lived with for about a year and a half and had at least one drunk night a weekend.
We split and since then I had been drinking heavily but what I thought was under control, keeping a job paying bills. I currently have a gf that I live with who is fairly normal. In the last few months my drinking had increased drastically up to the point I would drink a 26oz a day then go get more beer.
I finally had enough so here I am.
I also have a question for everyone. How long did your detox take in total?

I would just like the sky rocketing blood pressure to quit. It was 160/100 yesterday then back down to 136/72 today. Crazy. The dizziness and vertigo could go too.
I just hope the vertigo is gone so I can work.
Thanks for all the replies everyone. So fast too!

Detox is different for everyone. We can't give you any guarantees over the net.
It's uo to you, but I usually recommend people see a Dr cos detox can be problematic, or even dangerous, sometimes.

I have been to the doctors 3 times already. First night with horrible shakes, and really hi BP and heart rate. They hooked me up to an iv with some vitamins and 2 bags of saline, gave me 2 mg at ativan and sent me away. I have also gone 2 more times. Today I went to get a referral to get my liver and kidney functions tested, just in case. I am sure they are fine though. Hopefully just 2 more days of the physical then back to normal minus the drinking.
