First craving

20 days sober & I'm having my first craving for alcohol. I know that one drink would not satisfy me & there is no way I'm going to risk all that I have to experience a buzz.I'll get a nice coffee & maybe something to eat.I'm looking forward to Monday when I get to tell my phsychologist the good news that I no longer drink! I can't remember whose post I read today but there was one that said"I will not alcohol again-ever!"Thanks, that's the encouragement I need to see on a day like today.Big Mike

One thing that I have read here over and over again (and have experienced) is that cravings and urges pass; we just ave to give them time and ride them out.

I will send you a couple of good links.

Getting through the cravings is what will help your recovery because next time it will be easier. I'm glad you're doing well.

Ride the craving and it WILL pass :-)
Enjoy being able to tell your psychologist that on Monday :-) I got to tell my counsellor I'd gone 6 days yesterday and it was the most amazing feeling. Xx

Hang in there!!

Thoughts are merely thoughts, they are not actions, stick to your plan and come through this!!

Carvings are cravings headcase - it's how we respond to them that counts
How are you doing?
