stop boo hoo for myself
Guess it is time to stop the "Whooping stick" on myself.
I have read and know so many people with the same problem.. It is truly a heart wrencher... I am very thankful my son wanted to go for help..and was willing to go to re-hab. I see he has to do this himself.. and code Mom needs to back off... being a single mom is hard to stop taking care of everything.. but this is up to him...

Tinker Mom wondering how you got the strength
Hi There,
I read your first message Tinker30, and you remind me of my step mother who is going through a similar situation, except she is in denial that her son has a problem. She believes the reason for his all of a sudden aggressive behavior and extreme depression is not caused by the coke, valuum, and alcohol combination, but rather because of the divorce her husband and her had when her son was 8 years old.
How did you get your son into rehab? My step brother is 19 and so we cant make him do rehab, but he needs it before he hurts himself, someone else, or ends up in jail for the 3rd time again.
Your advice would help so much so I can help my step mother.

I just wanted to welcome you to Sober Recovery.
I am the mom of two A sons. The oldest's DOC is cocaine, the youngests DOC is meth.
The youngest is currently in court ordered re-hab. The oldest is currently using.
There is alot of moms and dads that post on the nar-anon board, so come on over and meet all of us!
