Talking OMG actually no headache this morning

Day 16 and it's the first day I haven't woked up with a headache. My guess is it will come later because it's always worse at night but it was such a treat not waking up to a headache this morning.

This mornign I'm grateful for no headache.

It took me about 2 weeks before I began to feel normal. Good food, exercise (physical and mental) and sleep accelerate the withdrawal process

Hi jaded girl, congrats on day 6! I'm finishing day 16 and things are decent now. First week really tired, emotional, agitated , and blah. I think everyone experiences different things though. From reading online, when your brain comes off alcohol, it starts working again(neurotransmitter s functioning like they are supposed to- alcohol suppresses a lot of our normal brain function) and it's a weird thing when we aren't used to it. Everyday will get better and all the longtime sober friends here are proof of that.
Congrats again!!!!

Isn't it nice to wake up feeling normal? I used to look at everyone at work, happy and fresh in the morning, or just normal at least, and wonder: what does it feel like to not have a hangover?

So nice. I went years without a single day not hungover. Never again!
