Made it 14 days and failed
Made it 14 days and failed
I couldn't take it anymore i failed and drank tonight. This was the longest i had been sober since prison. Since getting sober i hadn't spoke to anyone more than 30 seconds. It was too much for me, i know I'm gonna feel like h@ll tomorrow and i deserve it. I cant live like this anymore.
This is a great chance to look at what you can do to make your life better 2wheelterror.
Drinking won't solve anything.... but a little action just might?
what about joining something like AA or some other recovery group? or maybe some volunteer work?
we all need human contact - having none makes anyone go crazy.
Put the bottle down, pour out the rest, and start again

2Wheel don't beat yourself up man.
Don't look at it as a reason to give up, look at it as an opportunity to learn and come out stronger.
Try to think, was there a thought or sensory trigger leading up to drinking?

I don't think you have failed either. You drank and you have regrets about drinking. At the same time you also have the realization that this was the longest you stayed sober since prison....and that is a really awesome thing!
I dont have anymore booze its all gone. As for AA i posted the other day, the meetings are a joke around here. I have no one to talk too face to face. All i know is I can't take much more, i guess I'm weak
1 day in 14 back when I was drinking was an achievement, it was far from a failure, but it's awful how our minds start to focus on the negative and beat ourselves up.
Look at the positives, you did something right in those 14 days, so go at it again and don't look back, but only to the future!!
You can do this!!

Yeah the fact i hadn't spoke to anyone in weeks. I should think of life just like prison, ain't nobody gonna help you. I drank and its all on me.

2Wheel..I am telling you...It's not failure , you tripped and bobbled...It's like riding a bike with a short rake , or tight steering...In our world of 2 wheels , ever see a newbie on 2 wheels lay it down? Light bike or heavy bike , they still need to pick it back up and ride on or just leave the bike there and walk away...
Pick it back up and ride on....
You rock Man! Don't give in!

There is always someone to talk to here. And there is plenty of help of you want it. Glad you dumped out the rest, tomorrow can be a better day.
Drinking isn't failing. Giving up is failing.
My AV used to tell me I was a failure. Made it easier to convince me to keep drinking.
Get some sleep and tomorrow figure out how to get some more face-2-face support if that's what you need.
Be well, Friend.

I only lasted eight days WITH a prescription to help 2WheelTerror! And I live with family. You're a better person than me!
You can do it - start tomorrow!

14 days is awesome Back on your feet and dust yourself off! As others have said, you can always find someone to talk to here and also I use a wonderful little site called 7cupsoftea where there is always someone online to have a private chat with you about anything, not just drinking. I go there now and then. Makes me feel so much better when I'm feeling alone. They are trained active listeners and are very kind. Best of luck

Well done.
Now pick yourself up, ask honestly what you've learned, ask how you can make TODAY a sober day and what actions you can take to deepen your sober life....
We're here for you and you can do it.
