I asked the universe for help
So yesterday was my day 1 and it was the worst hangover I have ever experienced. I thought I was going to die. My anxiety was a 10/10. I am not religious but I do believe in there being something bigger than just us on earth living and then dying. Anywho. I asked the universe for anything to help me with sobriety. I woke up this morning with the flu haha...that means no drinking while I heal for 2-3 days atleast! I couldn't drink if I WANTED to right now. I am grateful to be fighting influenza on day 2 of sobriety. Weird I know lol

Hi Scared.
Sorry you are ill but great decision to quit drinking. I suggest that you change your thinking from "for 2-3 days at least" to setting sobriety as a long term goal, but many people find it helpful to think only for today, and then tomorrow again, and so on. Day 1's were usually terrible and very scary for me as well. Maybe see a doctor, especially given you are also sick with the flu?
Given what you said, have you considered working a 12-step program? Sounds like you might be a good candidate for it. Hang in there

Scared I share a very similar belief and actually the situation you find yourself in is very much like how I initially got sober a couple years ago. I woke up with a horrible respiratory infection that lasted a week. It was a total blessing in disguise.
That is how it all started for me but I've had my challenges along the way so never let your guard down and always work to stay sober.
Get well soon!
