When alcohol brings others tragic suffering....
How do we overlook stories like this.... when we drank and drove. When we continued to use. When we told ourselves "it won't happen to me".
One thing I am deeply grateful for is that my drinking and driving never ended in tragedy like this. But it certainly could have.
I don't want to forget that. I don't want to let myself ever believe "it won't happen to me" again. I want to live sober and never ever have the risk of bringing this sort of suffering into the world.
