Detoxing Alone

I decided on Wednesday to stop taking pain medicine. It was prescribed to me and I knew I was taking it too much. I have none left and my pain management doc won't help me detox off of them. So, for the last three days I have been so sick. My entire body is hurting. I know I'm making the best decision it's just very hard.

Welcome, Lalalou!

I have no experience with pain medicine addiction, but many members here do. I know from reading their posts that making it three days is fantastic!

Read around and post often!

Doctors...

Hang on. The acute withdrawal shouldn't take much longer. Drink fluids. Baths. You're worth it.

I would, but I'm in the medical profession and I'm so scared that people will find out. Also, I'm a single mom of 3 and I don't want to leave my kids.
