Jail after all
My bf's Had I'd in jail after all. The relative taking responsibility for her realized it was bad for his own family to have an addict using of not in his home.
She'd started breaking rules etc. So a few months in jail for her and a respite from worry for every one else.
Here's hoping that something clicks for her.
I get frustrated that my be refuses to read here or do anything to educate him as to what his daughter is facing.
He wears rose colored glasses and says that someday she'll be the girl he once knew.
Only once have I told him not to expect that. Sure she can come back from this and live an awesome life. But she was 13 or 14 when she started doing drugs and 13 when she started heroin. She'll never be who she was before all this - but none of us are who we were at 13-hopefully.

My prayers go out for this girl, that this is the wake-up call she needs.
And more prayers for her dad and all who love her, it breaks our hearts to watch someone we love self-destruct.
Hugs

Dear carguysgirl,
I too was able to breathe when my daughters were arrested and in jail.
I knew where they were, much safer, had a meal and a bed to sleep in.
But my denial wouldn't let up for months...I pray this father gets some
strong education on the disease of addiction. Maybe he might benefit from
an Nar/Alanon meeting to get the support that helped me so much back when
the addiction was so new.
Take care,
TF
