A New Year-what do you want to achieve ?

Thought I would post about my goals and hope you will share yours. Sobriety being top of the list.(for all of us)
Here are mine:
* becoming sober- started that onjan1st(8 days now)and continuing every day to become a sober person for life!!! (Thank you SR friends!!)
*being a more present parent- rather than being not present after 9 pm anymore, being and doing more with my kids. Wether it's talking, watching tv, or being the parent to pick up late(which I never was). I want them to know I'm here for them and a present parent 100% , not just when drinking isn't happening.
*becoming healthier:working out again for me and setting goals for me. I have been a big runner in past,so get back to training and hit a PR ( a personal record). Why not 44means nothing.im going to be the best 45!
Giving back:the money wasted on wine ... Giving some to a good cause and volunteering
What do you want for a better you?

2014 was my first sober year in which i regained my health and work status. This year i plan on continuing my sobriety and pay off all my credit card debt that i amassed while drunk and stupid.

*Learning to relax more and be appreciative/grateful for the people/things in my life instead of comparing and living in the "what if" mode.
(I signed up for yoga/meditation classes to help with this)

*Cook more with my BF. Once a week I want us to take turns picking out healthy recipes to make with each other. Have some fun with it!!

*Try to re-connect with some old girlfriends. I'm missing having girlfriends in my life. I hope they are willing to make the effort as well to get together more often and stay in touch.

Was driving to work and a new song by one republic came on ( not sure everyone knows this group). Called "I LIVED" and made me tear up in a really good way. To 2015 May we all live it and our life to its fullest!

Better overall health from not drinking, not smoking, eating healthier and doing some more cardio.

Get back to 40-50 miles per week.

Stay consistent on weight training.

Work on engaging with people and integrating more into society, be more outgoing.

Find some people to jam with on the regular.
