I had lost all hope. AA showed me that there are others like me successfully getting sober. As a group, we had little in common except for a desire to stop drinking.
I was so scared to go to a meeting I went three times and walked around the building.
My fear was unwarranted. In fact, that fear scared me into getting sober.
The steps can seem daunting, but you can go through them at your own pace.
One woman even went through one step a year.

I'm glad you're here. You'll find lots of support. Take it one day at a time, and do your best. That's all we can do. Best to you.
