Back from work sitting where I would normally scout for a movie and drink my bottle of vodka to reward myself for getting through another day. Today was flat out, ppl from other sections getting annoyed with me who I don't really know but for the first time anxiety didn't get the best of me and a tiny bit of assertiveness slipped out. At the last hour of the day I sat down with a glass of water feeling hopeless when the boss man walked in and said "didn't you have things to do in town?", pretty confused, I just looked up and he said well go. No one gets a free early mark ever.

Was feeling pretty good, good enough to have a drink so I honestly thought about this site and went to my parents for dinner which is extremely rare. They know i'm an alcho but when I refused a beer then refused I shanty, they know i'm on the wagon. Anyway...day 4 still sober..Still cant sleep but i'm not hungover. I know I can do the working week but kids are with their mother this weekend and that's gonna be tuff. Day 5 tomorrow.

I was the same in the early days but my sleeping pattern improved very quickly

If you can get through a tough day like that and recognize that although it's tough, it's easier to handle than with a hangover. You're in the right mindset. You got this. Keep going
