Good morning - Had a huge fight w/ my husband last night. He's away at guard duty right now. It was just me and the kids and they were absolutely horrible-acting. After I hung up w/ him the 1st thing I wanted to do was go to my fav liquor store and get my daily supply of vodka and forget about the kids and him. I must say it was an overwhelming emotional and physical desire. So I started to cry. Slowly I began to remember what it was like to wake up after drinking a fifth, the headache, the depression and the realization that the problem would still be there in the morning - I'd just feel worse. So instead I took the kids to the park, I brought my Book and read. We came home, kids were exhausted and calm and I somehow felt stronger. So anyway, I didn't drink. For the 1st time, I didn't give in and I am so proud of myself this morning. Hey, you guys have a great day.

Beautiful Kelly.
You thought through the drink, through the momentary release, and looked at the very real consequences that always follow.
You should be proud.
Store that in your tool bag and use it again.
