Do you know when you had your last drink? I posted that Saturday December 14 was my last drink, but I can't remember for sure. I know it was at least since then but in might have been a few days earlier.

I can figure it out, but I dont readily try and remember it. The only thing that matters is that I was sober yesterday and am sober today and will be sober tomorrow...

Some poeple like to keep track of it, but for me that isnt the important part.

After a couple of weeks or so I stopped thinking about how long it has been, for me it doesn't matter. What matters for me, is will I drink today? If the answer is no I am good to continue relearning how to live. If yes seems like it has a possibility I go into hard core mode and seek out why yes is being considered.

I was asked the other night by a friend how long I had been quit and my answer was, "Not long enough"

My last time was like that, but I didn't worry about it. Just pick the first day you were "alive" and fully sober.

I've tried the "not caring" about a start date but find it helps me mentally when I'm down to see the math. However, I'm a stats driven person - just wired that way. I have a friend from Bangladesh who doesn't know his real birthday. So he picked one . Why not pick a day soon after when you think you stopped?

I was having my last drink and surfing internet looking for a "buddy to quit drinking".

I found SR and registered. Logged in and wrote my first post at about midnight - October 14.

Sober since then.

I have a lot that I cannot remember about my last night of drinking.The good part is that I'll never have to go that again,never have to worry about a drunk driving ticket either.

I remember my sobriety date which is july 14th 2013 i had my last drink 3 days before that

il never forget that date

i dont class my sobriety date as the 11th as my body was full of alcohol and i wanted to be 100% sober so i started counting from the 14th

I picked a date for when I was sober and ready to make a change. The date means to me it's when I owned up to the BS I did while being a drunk and that I was no longer going to be that person. October 1st 2014. I believe my last drunken binge was a day or 2 before that.

I know it because I wrote it here, and in the first 3 months I counted every day because that helped me. Now, I know the month anniversary, but I don't think about it as much, but still see the months mounting up as success. But honestly? I hope to get so far from it that I don't even remember the year.
