I am back

I am back, but now have a BIG plan!
Before, on the last attempts, I was just farting around, but now I am deadly serious. My life has fallen apart and I am at the bottom for sure. Thank God my girlfriend is still with me. Alcohol has taken away my health, my finances, my sleep, my time, but not anymore!
I am now here with a BIG plan and to be here on SR many times a day.
Thank you.

Welcome back, unitedguy.

SR has been a very effective toolmfor sobriety for many; utilizing it to the fullest seems to be key - read, absorb, post, reply - often.

Don't be afraid to add other tools - face to face support such as AA or counselling - RR, AVRT.

Glad you are back, united guy. With sobriety and work, it is possible to rise from the bottom and rebuild your life.

Not to be cruel, but I giggled when you said you had a "BIG plan". I had those plans, and they completely sucked at getting me sober. The problem was that the very brain that was making these big plans was also the brain of chronically relapsing alcholic whose big plans where always catastrophic failures. I didn't understand why my plans failed. After all, I was literally MrLofg0029, B.S., M.S., Ph.D.

My last big plan was to shut up and follow the direction of people, like my now sponsor, that were awesome at getting and staying sober. That plan has worked better than I could've imagined.

I hope your plan works. Good luck!
