Double digit dancing .... 10 days .... I made it to 10 days

Good Morning everyone,

Hope everyone's doing fine today.

Day 10 for me today ..... can't believe I've made it to day 10.

Last night, was the 1st night the AV was telling me that "just a sip" would be ok !!!!

The urge passed but I was fairly anxious when I went to my bed & tossed & turned until 3am ....
So today I'm like a half shut knife ..... with 2 hyper kids .... lol.

thats great going .. especially as it was festive season

if you can get through new year sober in scotland you can probably do anything you put your mind to .

My sleeping took a while to sort out … if you find yourself suffering from a hot head/pillow try wrapping your pillow in a bath towel as it helps keep your head cool ..

AV does pop up from time to time, be ready for it with whatever distractions that will work and ten days will seem like nothing! Congratulations.

It is so easy, especially on day 10 to deceive ourselves.
Keep an eye on the one in the mirror.
That is the one who has been of most harm to us.

Great job on 10 days! Imagine how tough the day would be with hyper kids if you were hungover! Uggh, I don't miss those days at all!

Congrats on 10!

In the early days if I couldn't sleep, I would get up and read on here for an hour with a cup of hot chocolate and some toast. That would always put me back to sleep. I think it was a blood sugar thing in addition to the general jittery feeling of early sobriety.
