When to move forward?

When is long enough in the " New to Recovery" forums before exploring other areas?

I don't think there is mean to be any kind of limit on exploring other areas for anyone. It's just that people make a stronger effort to keep this folder completely welcoming and free of any kind of conflict. Other folders you might find either a) there just isn't as much traffic/response or b) more debate-type conversations, like comparing different recovery approaches.

There's no rule on that. Members can post anywhere they like as soon as they like.

The only exceptions are the gender specific Mens and Womens rooms, and the Stories of Recovery forum, which is for the sharing of stories of recovery of 12 months or more.

Everyone is welcome to post where they think best …
Thats how it's been since i joined 3 years ago . if what you've done seems really out of place i think the mod's will move it .
We do have people at all stages of recovery come here so things can seemingly be random at times .

Explore all areas-reading is how you learn. Just reserve comments until you feel you have ESH to add. Ask questions anywhere, anytime.

How do I get in that Class? Someone sent me some link before of some sort about that class but I didn't see how to become a member.

alls you gotta do is find it on the "newcomers daily support" forum, there is one for each month and some others, and just post and say hello, then you are a member

just go to the thread and hit 'reply' then type away, introduce yourself - that's it, or type in the quick reply box, do not start a new thread

same way to reply in this thread

It is called "Class of December 2014" It could be called "People who decided to get sober in December 2014" or anything else. It's just a thread that usually groups people together who showed up around the same time that you can build a relationship with and use as group motivation. Typically if we all stay sober we share our year and anniversary dates around the same time. There is a "24 hour support" thread, under a year group etc.

Welcome! Most of these people are friendly that I ran across so far, and very helpful!
Dee is a moderator here that has a lot of patience and knowledge as well, I really don't know the rest of them yet.
