Glad you are here yellowdog - This is a great place for support & encouragement. Easy, no...but it is as simple as not picking up the first drink...one day at a time. Be kind to yourself, as the first few weeks are tough, but things DO get better & life so much easier without the poison.

For myself I needed to figure out why I drank before I could stop. AA or counseling can or I did a lot of searching/ lurking on here and now can't stop reading and posting. Good luck
