Day 7 - 1 week!

I decided to get an early start and pick Christmas Day as my sober start (otherwise I knew I'd get in a lot of last-minute drinking before New Year, lol). Amazing how much more time there is in every day - I used to never get anything (productive) done once I got home from work. Many thanks to SR for lots of great information and resources!

Thank you!

I really appreciate the support, you folks are all great! It's nice to have someplace to check into. I'm thankful I've had a pretty easy time this week - no physical withdrawal; just some behavioral tweaks. My worst thing is that I'm totally a creature of habit, and that's been my main habit. I'm used to planning a booze run at least every 2-3 days, and it feels really weird not having that on my "to do" list Strangely it helped being away from work for the holiday. I've got to gear up and make sure "back to work" stress doesn't get to me.

Well done!
Changing our routine is key, I think.
Great time to form some new healthy habits!

Woohoo, well done on a week !

I hear you --I'm also very much a creature of habit.

You' ll get used to the changes after a while, and form new habits, and then you'll know where you are again.
