This year.... Last year.... Next year....

I just got back from a nine-mile trail run in silent snowy forests with a couple of friends. I'm drinking a big jar of fresh veggie-and-fruit juice and buzzing with health and endorphins.

The sun is shining, the world is covered in new-fallen snow, there is magic in the air.

Oh.... and I am a year sober today.

What an incredible difference a year makes. It has been a journey of highs and lows, growth and learning, challenges and triumphs. I'm still working my way through the steps. I am still on a path that I know is going to be fraught at times with both the "good" and the "bad"..... but my mind is clear and my conscience is clear and my life is so much more generally awesome than it was back then.

Thank you SR for your incredible role in supporting my choice to live in sobriety.... for all you've given me.... and for the promise of another incredible sober year ahead!!

Keep it up everyone... it's SO worth it.
