Hi everyone. It's been a few days for since I woke up sober. I drank Friday and when I woke up yesterday, Saturday at 4 am I drank what I had left until about 7 am. I eventually went back to sleep for a while but some how I made it through the remainder of the day without drinking again so it has been a little over 24 hours since I have had a drink. I have probably not been sober for 24 hours yet but I am close.

It's nice to wake up without an over whelming desire to drink. I am planning on not drinking today. It would be a nice thing for me.

The joy of waking up sober is something I suspect I will never outgrow. Waking up to be such an unpleasant experience; it is now the best part of my day - it is so exhilarating.

Stay the course, Ramrat. You will be glad you did.
