Sunday morning, no hangover!

Hi guys, so this is my second post on this site. Finding it really useful. I'm 8 days sober my parents are away this weekend so Im home alone. Yesterday was pretty tough for me. It was Saturday so I was dying for a drink but I powered through and made it through the night. Recovery is such a hard thing to go through but I woke up this morning and it is SO nice to wake up without a hangover (especially on Sunday). I know its only been 8 days but already I'm sleeping better, eating better, I feel more energetic and less anxious. I van honestly say for the first time in ages that I have hope for the future

Cook yourself a really good breakfast and enjoy it.

I went from no hangover because I was still drinking to no hangover at all. One of my joys is a good breakfast on the weekends.

Great job, Andy! I too woke up without a hangover and was really wanting to drink yesterday and I am so glad I didn`t...!

Sunday mornings were always a particularly bad AM for me, as the liquor stores open up later and there`s like nothing like feeling like dying till whatever time they open, the waiting in the parking lot (gah)...just can`t wait to get that booze and start enjoying (ruining) my day off!

SoberAndy, I was manic, trying to keep myself busy that first week of getting sober. I think it's then you realise what a huge chunk of your life is focused on drinking, getting drinks, or recovering from drinking.

Thankfully, there's so much more to life than that! Congrats on your efforts to stay sober this week!
