Day one for me also

Thought I had this beat and POW, drank last night.
Just woke up and poured the rest out and going to go to the gym shortly.
Tired of feeling this ******.
Thanks to all here, you will see me here more often!

Hi.
Boy do I wish going to a gym could get me and keep me sober.

There are many programs in this world that will work IF we work them constantly and they fail miserably if the alcoholic is not deeply involved in being and staying sober.

They all require work and change for long term recovery.

BE WELL

Glad you poured the rest, unitedguy.

Remember SRnis 24/7/365. Post when you feel triggered, fragile, thinking about drinking.

I learned pretty early on that if I thought I 'had it beat', my addiction was in full swing....

I will never have this 'beat' but I can keep it in remission so long as I never drink alcohol or get high again

I have had this beat 100 times and sure enough i always fell back shortly after. It might be time for us to change the way we approach this. I understand and share your pain. I wish you the best

That's of course happened to me too, I've had to stop thinking I beat it, because it sneaks back up and I got overwhelmed.
But you're at the gym and poured it out!!! Very good
