DAY 84 and a message to new comers.
Hi guys!
Still motoring through the storm of early sobriety and what a ride its been so far. I just want to say to any new comers on here that have only just got sober and are finding it hard..'Stick with it!!' I promise you things slowly improve. Don't give up on life and good things will come. I gave up so many times before and this time I have been given the gift of AA and SR and have a sponsor who has been INVALUABLE in these fragile early days of sobriety. Please stay strong because I care about all of us alcoholics and addicts and I pray for us all to be restored to sanity and find peace in out hearts.
My life has admittedly been a real struggle lately but I have dealt with things in a sober way and found the 'Solution' rather than run to a drink at the first sign of stress. Its tough and know one ever said it would be easy and that is so true. It took us a hell of time to get here and is going to take us a hell of a time to get out but the rewards are going to be amazing beyond our wildest dreams. I am VERY early in sobriety and at 84 days I can feel proud to be writing this because my body and soul are slowly starting to heal small steps at a time. If you read some of my past posts you will see how much of train wreck my life has been and see I have had so many highs and lows but have started to feel free and really feeling the benefits of this simple programme.
I have done 3 great and amazing things today! I have gone to AA, SR and haven't picked up that first drink.
God bless you all!

Hey RJY9- Great post! Also, congrats on the 84 days!!!
Your message is an inspiration and I hope a lot of the newer folks come across it. Especially anyone who might be on the fence as far as staying the course.
I wish you well with your continued progress.
