Hi, I've decided I need to be alcohol free before it becomes a problem. I read a book recently that helped me realise that I am an addict - in so far as I have not been able to stop. I don't drink heavily but I do consume over the considered healthy amount and recently one bottle has proved to not be 'enough' which is clearly not right.
I use alcohol as a crutch, for fun, for confidence. My friends all drink - it's part of our lifestyle (wine o'clock anyone...) but I'm now drinking 4 or 5 nights a week, hiding the wine bottles so that my husband can't see that I'm doing it.
I know I can't drink in moderation - one becomes two becomes five...so I want to stop and hope by drawing a line and posting this here today it will provide me with another reason and support to stop.
2 days AF...
Thanks
