I've reached day 5 where I fell off the wagon last time- but I'm feeling stronger. I had errands to run for work yesterday and had to park in the bottle shop car park.. Would have usually been a disaster with me buying a carton of 6 bottles of wine, but I didn't think of going inside..that's a first in years..
My youngest Son is graduating Primary school today and also winning a book award for his achievements this last year.., can't believe that my boys are both excelling when I've been such a drunk every night.. I am forever grateful that I found SR, I'm grateful for the support , and for the second chance to lead a normal, sober life x

Thank you for the post! It helps strengthen my resolve to build on my number of days sober.

In the beginning it is never easy, and it is always the simpler solution to find a reason to drink. I have to remind myself how bad it was drinking and how much more manageable my life is without it.

Yes I gave I gave in last weekend and it's really not worth it.. I felt lousy afterwards( actually felt lousy while drinking if I'm honest ) Let's keep going.. For ourselves and for our loved ones.. We deserve this xx
