Update from a decade long member
This forum was a lifesaver to me a decade ago. At the time I didn't think my family would survive. What a surprise it has been. Many I still see here held my hand as I walked though difficult times. Now my AD and I both have many years of meetings (Naranon and NA) under our belts.
She is a lovely young woman who has*helped many newcomers in her program, after years of trying and relapsing. You never know when the miracle will happen. Just when I thought it wouldn't, it did. I was focusing on my own recovery, and she did it without me!
I have recommended this forum to many newcomers. 10 years ago I wasn't ready for a face to face meeting, and you were here for me 24/7. This forum will always have a special place in my heart.
I have started a Nar-anon meeting, and done service work on the state and regional levels. I have attended conferences, and gone to many celebrations, including the last world conference. Thank you to this forum which got me started on this rewarding journey.
