Checking in, saying hi.

Hello, SR family!

Sober has opened up a whole new world for me- it's been a little crazy. I haven't cried for no reason, forgotten someone's name or not shown up for an appointment in a whole 150 days. I wake up early, go to work, come home, do what needs to be done, make phone calls in the evening, teach cooking lessons, baby-sit my neighbors kids, go to the movies, hold hands with friends in need, write in my journal, clean the house, read books, host parties, have deep, meaningful conversations (and remember them,) tell people what they mean to me, make new friends, exercise, eat the right foods and most importantly, like myself.

I have not been here daily, but when I do come, I try to help where I hope I can. There are a bunch of people here who I hold directly responsible for my continued sobriety, so I'm posting just so they know I'm still around. This place is truly my saving grace. It's all good.

Life is so much more than drinking, isn't it?

Congrats on your 150 days of sobriety and may you have many more

Hearts, I honestly think of you every day- I know we don't know each other, but your support has been so helpful in these past months- and your strength as we walk forward in this journey has held me up on days when you have just no idea.

Always with you.
