Im back

Hey all. I'm back.

It's been a while since I have visited.

My husband and I separated and are just shy of 2 weeks away from divorce being final.
My grandmother, who I was extremely close to passed away in October. And my husband said he couldn't be there for me, because he didn't want to give me the wrong impression......

These two major life events have catapulted me into finding myself. And creating the best life I know how to live.

I was baptized a week ago. I have a huge amount of support in these changes I am making. I have started yoga. And I'm really looking at all of the positives in my life.

But at the end of almost each day. After the kids go to bed, I'll put back 2-4 glasses of wine. And it's not because of sadness or anger. But I can see the numbing effect. Not only is bad for my health, but it's bad for my spirit. And with the history I have had with it, it can turn any time.

Anyways, here's to day 1 again.

I think I can speak for almost all of us when I say we all know what 'day 1 again' feels like. You have my wholehearted support, I'm on day 1 again, too. Let's get to day 2 together, and go from there.

Welcome back. I agree, that numbing effect is the enemy and degrading to your soul. Sending my best most positive thoughts.

From one former-drinking mother to another, welcome back. Seems like things are starting to make a change for the better for you. You know what to do now - get to work on sobriety. You can do this!
