So a week ago today is when I had my last drink. I have to admit overall I now feel great. I can feel the affects of what alcohol was doing to my mind and body diminishing. The headaches have finally seem to subside as well as some of the fatigue over the last few days. So with that all said I still feel a small urge to drink. As some of you know I poured out the vodka I still had in the house which was a big step for me. Now I'm just praying and trying to be strong and not feed in to the urge. I just can't wait for it to go away but never the less still proud of my seven days of being sober!

Time, It's early days yet. There will still be those urges - but they do fade. Be patient with yourself - you're doing great with your week sober. Congrats.

keep going and if you feel the urge come on to SR get right into the routine of reaching out early sobriety is a rollercoaster of emotions but stick with it
