1 or 7?

1 week down, or is it 7 days. Either way it feels great.

The owner of my company was around in the last week, and I had applied for a sales job within the company over a month ago. Not hearing anything about the job or an interview I had kind of written it off, another thing I think I was dwelling on and trying to forget about. However, the owner shows up on my day 3 and 4 of recovery, and I was able to shine. I was clear headed and was able to really show him what I am capable of. Well, word gets around and I now have an interview with the sales department and will be able to reduce the amount I travel by about 80%.

I am trying to keep a level head about it either way. Whether I get the new job or not I will not celebrate or sulk with booze. No matter how Bad I want it.

One day at a time.

Well done HMS, that's a nice boost for you early in your recovery. Don't let anything distract you from the primary goal of remaining sober

thanks folks ... I attribute most of my early success to you guys. I am out on the road and am unable to attend meetings or see a doc yet. You guys have been a huge help

Congratulations on 1 week. It's great that you had the thought, "this is awesome, and it wouldn't have happened if I'd been drinking the night before."
