Despite my best efforts, my emotions got the better of me today, and now I'm wondering if I still have a job. Why oh why couldn't the tears have waited until at the end of the day? My dog is trying to comfort me, but I'm still feeling like a failure. Maybe a long walk will help us. Sorry, just needed to vent.

Oh, I'm so sorry. But is it just because you were crying?? I would hope your boss/management has more of a heart than to fire you over something like that! Dogs are the best comfort in my book ;-)

Thank you Refiner. Apparently, crying is enough to fire me, because I just got the call that I'm no longer working for them. You are correct, dogs are the best therapy.

HerLastNerve....I am so sorry! This doesn't sound like a very humanistic place to work if they are this rigid and unforgiving.
There is another job for you....probably a better one!

You are not a failure!! This job did not define who you are!! Please remember that.
I do hear you that you are going through such a hard time, right now. And, I do know how lonely and discouraged a person can feel.

We are here for you. I would venture to say that every one of us have felt these emotions at one time or another.....so, we can understand what you are going through.
