Day 13! And 1st time in the movie theater without sipping on 1/2 pint in years
I know my 14 yo son was happy I was alert not dozing off while playing the drinking games instead of watching the Hunger Games with him. But I realized although we went to see all the ones that have been made so far...I don't have a clue of what's going on in this series (smh) . Its ok I now will rent them and watch them sober to play catch up. Something to put on my sober to do list. I have to do the same thing with walking dead. My son used to love when I watched it with him. Think we started watching first season when I was trying sobriety but little by little drinking started, started dozing and eventually didn't even attempt to watch it with him anymore. Gee...the simplest things can make a child so happy...especially a sober, alert present parent. I'm not going to beat myself up about the past or worry about the future. That way of thinking kept me drinking. Today I choose to be sober in the moment, be accepting and grateful.
