I'm at my mother's home for the holiday weekend. (Started to type "my parents' home" ... habit. Dad died earlier this year. The first holiday season without him. Sigh.)
In this home, there are pictures of me on my first day of kindergarten. The girl in the paisley dress with pigtails. My h.s. graduation picture. Taken before I had ever had more than the sip of a drink.
The years I wish I could take back. The futility in wishing I could do so.

i thought you were being extremely clever by being so damn cryptic; but the i realized that others can actually see things i cannot!
