Left the party early to put my son to bed

It's the end of day 12 and I have gone through a wedding, thanksgiving, and another family party tonight. Have not had much desire to drink. I think it's easier that my wife is pregnant.

Tonight she asked me to bring my son back to the hotel early so she can hang with her fam. On the way home, I didn't consider stopping to get booze, but instead I thought of how pathetic it used to be that I would use this as an excuse to come back and drink alone.

In the past I would have no consideration for my sons safety, my safety or my wife having to smell booze on me while she is pregnant.

I'm thankful that I am able to sit here, perfectly content and calm, and watch football.

Way to go David. Looking forward to some college ball tomorrow myself. Congratulations on the new brother or sister for your son.
