Does it count? Really annoyed
Someone was cooking as I was leaving work and offered me to try.
I obliged and when asked what was in it, they said wine!!!!!!
I had a 1/4 of a tea spoon of the food, that was it.
I'd be absolutely devastated if that counts as me failing / going back to day 1 / relapsing - I'm hitting day 40 tomorrow and I've worked hard for it and I have no intentions of touching alcohol. It's questionable that there was any on the spoon given how small the spoon was!!
Really bugging me now, what do you guys think?

If it were me, I would say of course not. Absolutely not. There would be more alcohol in a dozen different things I typically consume every day, and they are not significant either.
Are you looking at this inadvertent consumption of a gram or two of alcohol as justification for getting angry and frustrated to the point that drinking for real becomes an option? I suggest you devote your energy and focus on positive things you can do to build an alcohol-free life for yourself instead. Getting angry over this cannot lead anywhere good.

Don't worry about it. I cook with vanilla extract all the time, and that stuff is mostly alcohol (I've drank it in desperate times, very bad idea, unless you're into barfing in your kitchen sink). The alcohol cooks off anyway, so there probably wasn't any in the food you tasted. Don't let this trick you into thinking you've already failed so you may as well get drunk now.
Such a tiny amount and if it was cooked most of the alcohol would have been cooked out. It doesn't matter at all unless you let your AV turn it into an excuse to drink. Always be on guard for this kind of wayward thinking in early recovery.
Happy thanksgiving. Stay strong.
