Night time cold medicine :(
.... But i'm not sick. I drank it to go to bed. I only took one dose.
It has %10 alcohol. Does this mean I drank?
I'm 2 weeks sober, this is my first day of week 3.
Did I blow it I'm starting to get sad. I just want to go to bed I ran out of sleeping pills and I start work super early tomorrow.
DAMN IT did I ruin everything!?
I was also craving alcohol and ate sugar mixed with peanut butter because I read sugar stops cravings.
Please be honest. Did I blow it?

It's what you think that counts
I think it's really important to know what's in medicines though...and I dunno about you but using something to make me a certain way, or to help me sleep when it's not meant for that is a pretty dangerous thought process for someone in recovery...it's not that far removed from what we used to do with alcohol.
so...call it a mistake sure...there's no sense in making yourself distraught over something you can't change...but I'd be really wary of making the same mistake again, hunterismia

Hi Hunter, I empathise. I sleep terribly in early withdrawal and use sleeping tablets as a matter of course for the first couple of weeks. I wouldn't count it as a relapse, but suppose I'd be wary that adding even a small amount of alcohol to my body would 'awaken the dragon', haven't researched this or anything though so don't really know. Get a good night sleep, it's not like you'll be hungover and bomiting in the morning or anything, so that's pretty far removed from a night of boozing!
