Hi.
What you posted many can identify with. Some of us are pained enough to do what it takes the first time around. I wasn’t as I was undisciplined and deep inside wanted the benefits by osmosis instead of doing the work involved like changing the characteristics I drank about such as anger, fears, control, insecurity and on and on.
It starts with acceptance that we cannot drink one day at a time in a row, and in safety.
BE WELL

If you keep trying, you'll succeed. Getting sober is hard, but slowly you'll start thinking about alcohol less and less. I still think about it once in a while but I let it sit there and then go on its way. Much better things to spend my time and money on.

Hi Jillian, glad you posted.
I think accepting is a better phrase- giving in sounds like you are losing something, but you will be gaining a better life.
We can give you a lot of support here, post when ever you need help.
