Thank you--I made it

Well, it took eating a pint of chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream and a long, wet walk with the dogs, but I made it through the night without drinking. And you all were right: looking back it feels good to see that I could deal with difficult feelings sans alcohol.

Heading upstairs for a bath and a cup of lavender camomile tea.

Thanks again for all your support. I can't tell you how comforting it was to be standing there in Target receiving your hugs.

Remember: Ice cream is our friend. Especially in early recovery.

Hugs to you Matilda.

Awesome! Tea & a bath sound lovely. Dealing with difficult feelings can be, difficult. Glad you made it through some.

Well done, you did so well Mathilda. I didn't see your original thread, but just looked at it now. (((((((HUGS))))))) I've been sturggling with fertility problems for the last couple of years and know the feelings you describe well - the sight of baby stuff, pregnant women, and even just young families can set me off without warning. I too worry that I've done this to myself through drinking, but the truth is, *we haven't*. We have just had very bad luck. I'm sorry about your miscarriages, truly. You are an amazing person and I'm proud of you for getting through this
