So glad I'm doing "the work"!!
I Know it's not for everyone on here but for those of you who are trying to work the AA program- I have to tell on myself because I have been resentful of AA and my sponsor. I have been complaining that she pushes me too hard to go to meetings and participate in service work in meetings but I'm finally getting it! I walked in expecting to make best friends with everyone immediately and to be coddled and praised just for showing up and staying sober but I'm slowly realizing that it's so much more than that! I love my home group and I'm really establishing a kinship with all of them and it's because I'm doing the work! I'm encouraging anyone on here who might be feeling the same way I was to press in and take the suggestions-even when you don't want to. It's worth it!

Thanks guys! I just wanted to share something positive since I'm usually moaning. Also, I wanted to encourage anyone who might be experiencing the same resentments I've been having to keep working at it even if they don't understand why

I'm so glad you are finding working the steps a positive experience, Rina. Really happy for you 
I've just started going to AA, too soon yet to tell if I have any resentments-- I' ll probably be moaning about them when I do lol.
