Happy Sunday and follow up
I won't rewrite what I did in my other thread but for anyone who read it-
My daughter came to me yesterday and said "You are right. Going to Germany is not affordable or reasonable". Miracle of miracles! We agreed instead that she can have a trip to NY on winter break with some of her friends. It's only a few hours away and affordable.
After this, all the stress and tension we had been having for the last 4 months went away. She and I went out to lunch yesterday, had a long talk and a nice day. And I got through a huge stressful trigger without alcohol!
