Really? I hate what happens after the sixth or twelfth glass, I'm fine with the first sip. But since I know where the first sip goes I don't have it.

in AA our Big Book tells us that it's that first drink that gets us.. we are Powerless over it.

I hated it too. So much so that I finally quit drinking. My life is so much better sober.

I used to love it but that was before I came to understand that it was that first sip that got me drunk.

I always thought I drank to much, as in I had ten or twenty or that I made them to strong or that I mixed to many different types of alcohol or didn't have enough sleep or I had not eaten....and on and on.

It took me a long time to find out the that the first sip was the "to much".

But the good news is, that once you realize and accept that it's the first sip that will bring you down, you can put that hate into action...take back control and avoid that sip no matter what. No more bargaining or compromising with myself about that first sip...that was life changing for me. You can do it!

I finally realized i can have one sip... tried that several times an woke up hung over.... no sips is the key... we are on this journey together..... we can do it...
