Why do the newcomers forums close so early? I get home from work and anxious to talk and they are closed. I am new to the tech stuff so forgive. I have a million questions for all of you experienced folks.

I don't think the forums ever close Fixer. I think people just go off doing various life things.

How long are you sober?

I do not think they ever close. Maybe there was a rare maintainence thing or a problem?

We should always be here unless there is one of those issues.

It is probably my own ineptitude with tech stuff. Thanks though. Missy7 I have been sober for 2 days. Before that I think I got as far as 30 days.

What questions do you have? Post them freely. You can start a thread for yourself, or join a group. Did you join us in the November group? I think so.

These forums are 24/7. I'm on here a lot during the day and evening. Still trying to get my legs under me as well. Another day 2 for me.

Yes I have a plan. Change the routine. Simple normal stuff. Although I confess I cannot remember what normal is!

Part of my committmemt was to spend at least a few hours a night either talking on this forum or doing a meeting or reading the Big Book, followed by actually talking to my wife and kids.

The site never closes intentionally (except for maintenance) but sometimes goes down and can't be accessed. But no, SR is always here.

When a thread reaches 500 posts, it is closed and a new one opened as Part 2 or 3 or whatever. SR never closes. We are open 24/7/365 and while it may be slow at times, there is almost someone here if you need to talk.

I'm completing Day 2 also. Hubby is on his way home from a small party I skipped. I'm cranky about that but was reading Dee's Urge Surfing materials. Good idea!

Good to see you, FixerUpper. The forums are 24/7 but of course many people here are nine-to-fivers at work. But there are members all over the world in every time zone. I'm a night owl and usually don't hit SR till around 2:00 am Central.
