Birds of a feather

Got a friend staying with me at the moment, we've known each other since we were 10. (42 now)

Oh the stories we could tell.

Meanwhile, last night he drank 18 beers, while I drank a bottle of lemonade and a cup of tea.

Spews in the garden, asks me what it's like to not drink?
Then asks me if I think he has a drinking problem?

He's too good a man to be taken down by alcoholism.

I don't think he's quite ready yet, but I think his head is slowly coming out of the sand, so far as his drinking goes.

It's good and humbling to be on the other side. I hope your friend makes it there with you one day, but for now, good for you.

Yet it takes so many. I truly hope your friend comes to the same realization.

He's at the "if I can not drink for a week, I'm not in trouble with it " stage.

But when he does drink.... Look out... Lol

I went through the same stages.

Haven't seen him yet this morning, still sleeping it off.

I guess more will be revealed later today
