We do, although on a much smaller scale than I remember from my childhood. It's one of my favourites. Can't wait for tonight.

when I lived in New Zealand, this was "Beach Cleanup Day Eve".

Every morning after Guy Fawkes I'd fill up several trash bags with the rubbish left on the beach. Between spent fireworks, beer cans and cigarette boxes, it was a disaster.

bangs going off all around me at the moment, so i am off out to an aa meeting it reminds me of how me and the kids always had a bonfire and fireworks but since we lost tony we no longer do any of those things now plus my 2 girls are much older now anyway and live there own lives there is only me and 2 of my sons at home now and there not interested in it all anymore either
its funny how life changes over the years i can well remember i would be more exicted than my kids for bonfire night or xmas etc
i got all my excitement wth my little people ; )

so off out now to an aa meeting and see if there are any new comers who might need a hand better than sitting in feeling like i am missing somthing catch you guys later and to anyone in the uk have a happy bonfire night and a safe one

I saw quite a few fireworks on the drive home from work .
The roads were nice and quite, i timed it right at about 9:30 pm so i was driving whilst most of the displays were going off … lots of smoke in the air ..
