OT-feeling affected by local youth suicide
Hi SR friends
When I got home from work today I was informed by my children that a local youth had committed suicide.
When they told me he was head boy at one of the secondary schools I immediately knew of him & his presence in the youth community.
I feel affected by this tonight.
I'm not sure if it's because I've raised a head girl, if it's because my daughter was about to be interviewed by the youth committee who rang to change interviews lastnight or because I know he had such a bright future ahead of him. I also work in the death industry & I see the families after suicide plus I have also felt suicidal way back when I split from the XH.
I am surprised by my reaction but am unsure where to put myself.
My thoughts & prayers are with him & his family & all the local youth in my town who were briefed today at school & offered support.
