Feeling moody today

for some reason......that is not my "normal" personality, but today, as the day progressed found myself feeling like the gal in the Exorcist LOL. Hopefully this is part of the recovery progress.......

I know how you feel! I am experiencing mood swings like crazy but my sponsor says this is normal. It will get better. At least we are sober today! We don't have to be perfect!

Your signature says it all. It takes time to normalize. Treat yourself well. Lots of rest, exercise, and good food. It will get better.

Actually, I am extremely moody today, too and I am over one year sober. The good thing is that I have no strong desire to drink. I have learned that this too shall pass, and that it is okay to have bad feelings, to really feel them and then let them go. Tomorrow, I think we both will be feeling a lot better and we won't have the hangover and the shame and anxiety, that would come if we tried to drink our moods away. Hang tight and cry if you need to because tears are God's release valves that He gave to us.

I've been all over the place too. I do think it's normal.

Suzie,

I had a day like that yesterday. I was in a terrible, horrible, agitated mood and I couldn't figure out why. I could barely sit still. It was not a normal physical feeling. In my case I believe it is PAWS. In fact yesterday was the first real days in four months when I had to remind myself: No way. No how. No drinking.

I am feeling much better today! Isn't it nice that bad, terrible, horrible days pass and we don't have to drink over it? I was so happy to not be hungover today.
