at least he went 36 hours

After my hubby's surgery, he went 36 hours with no booze. He had some bad sweats and mild shakes. He blamed the anti-biotic for all of that. I told him no, you are having withdrawls. He said he knows the difference. I know it is a lie. But he went back to drinking. I told him the reprocusions but it seems like it didn't matter. I know he isn't ready yet to deal with it. I just hope deep down inside, he heard you are having withdrawls from booze. I'm not holding my breath, but perhaps this will be an eye opener. Thanks all for listening. Keeping on with my sobriety

I think that's all we can every do, whether we're codies or alkies or both -- stay focused on our own recovery! (((hugs)))

I agree with Amy. We can only worry about our selves and give him up the his higher power. He knows.... hes just not ready. If he is going to get sober, you want him ready.

Take care of yourself!!
