I want to say thank you
From the bottom of my heart. This is the first time I have felt like I had people in my corner when I tried to quit drinking. I usually really struggle with it every day, but now when I feel a craving for a drink I just come on here until it goes away. Whether I'm posting or lurking, it's working. So well in fact that I almost missed my 30 day milestone. Thank you everyone - your struggles and triumphs keep me in the game! Much love and appreciation to all.
Well done Islandgirl.
I have always had a problem with my AV shutting off everything around me in the past, Even SR. It's as if I blank everything else out and only have 1 thing on my mind at that time. 16 days sober here today, so something working. and i'm still here

Island girl, congrats on your sobriety
I'd like to echo that thank you, to you, and everyone here.
I didn't know what my AV was or how to deal with it before I came here -or that there was such a warm loving community available for us.
I'm learning so much about myself and my various hang ups too.
And most of all, I've stayed sober.
It's a wonderful place, this.
