Had a dream I was looking everywhere for alcohol

Yep. Day 14 and I had a dream that I was at a party an my entire family was present along with many many people I know. I was having a great time and suddenly I had that urge to have "more" fun. I wanted alcohol. I wanted to be smiling at nothing and laughing at everything. I could never make it to a place where alcohol was. People were standing in my way and my family members were literally barging in to rooms I was hiding. They refused to let me continue with my mission. Then I began to feel drunk and thought to myself, "my god, I've drank something. I am such a pathetic person." I woke up shorty after relieved I was in bed and knew I was still sober. I'm feeling some shame that I was such a fiend in my dream. Any interpretations? I feel really low about it. Thanks for reading.

I think we've alll had dreams like those It's natural to dream about something that's been on your mind - I don't mean in a cravng way.
SUCH a relief to wake up and realise it was only a dream isnt it

I have over a year clean/sober and still have dreams that involve me holding drugs, looking for drugs and being high. It seems crazy and I wake up relieved every time. Congrats on 14 days!

Been there, done that dream. Many times this past year. They are not fun. You wake up seriously wondering if you drank/'broke parole', lol.

GREAT job on 2 weeks, man.

Oh, thank god it's normal! Haha. I grabbed some coffee and rejoiced in my two week sobriety. It feels great to keep making steps, day by day.

Haha. Honestly, I was worried, and now I'm smiling. It's all behind me now. Day by day. I get that statement now.

Glad I could make someone smile! If that's the best thing I do in the world today- I'll take it.

Drinking dreams are very very common.

I never paid them any mind no matter how real they were.
I drank a LOT for a long time- my subconscious has a lot of material to work with...

I still dream of high school - but I've no wish to go back there

D
